Piadina romagnola
It is a healthy food, made with "poor" ingredients. Tasty and fragrant, the piadina is celebrated in most Festivals that take place in the flatlands, on the coast and in the hills. In view of its success a large number of "piadina kiosks" have opened along the roads.

Squacquerone di Romagna
"Squacquerone di Romagna" (Squaquaron, in local dialect) is a cheese with ancient origins, very often eaten with piadina romagnola. This cheese closely linked to life in rural areas, where it used to be produced  and eaten in winter.

Cheese: fossa cheese of Sogliano al Rubicone
"Fossa" cheese is a local speciality obtained from the cheese produced in the area lying between the Rubicon and Marecchia river valleys, mid-way between Romagna and Marche. This cheese is left to mature in pits ("fossa"). Sogliano is the most famous town in Romagna for the production of fossa cheese.

Raviggiolo
Raviggiolo is an excellent soft cheese to be eaten fresh. It is one of the symbols of the Central Apennines between Romagna and Tuscany, although the legend has it that its production first started in Santa Sofia, a village at the foot of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines.

"La solfara" cave cheese of Predappio
It's a unique cheese that can only be tasted and bought at the "Festa dei Vignaioli" (the Vine-growers' Festival) in Predappio, every year in November. The "La Solfara" cave cheese is made from the ewe's cheese produced on the hills outside Siena.

Bustreng Bustreng
The exact origins of this "poor" but excellent sweet, are uncertain as well as the different transformations and changes it has gone through over the years. It may either come from lower Romagna or from the upper Marches Region.

Oil
The extra-virgin olive oil produced in the province of Forlì Cesena is considered as very good in organoleptic properties and is appreciated for its very low acidity. For these reasons, it was awarded the P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin) label "Colline di Romagna".

Savor (or Savour) is a speciality prepared immediately after the grape harvest and is closely linked to the preparation of saba, on which it fully depends. Once, it used to be preserved in sealed earthen jars.
